Hi Claire,
After a self imposed driving ban following my grafts, I rang DVLA to ask what to do as my vision was border line to drive. I was sent to a local DVLA test centre. Went by bus because I didn't expect to pass! Couldn't read first two number plates, so examiner got out a tape measure and made acccurate measurement to a car from where I stood - had to turn my back while he did this! I managed to read the plate!!! He had been asking me to read at a greater distance. Now have dvla letter to say I'm O.K. but must keep checking, which of course I do about 6 times a year at various hospital visits.
Good Luck for tomorrow. Janet
