Hi Paul....There was much talk of Systane being a better ocular lubricant then most out there on the market...but I don't know if it will help you soothe and give comfort for scratchyness...if this scratchyness is due to dry eyes (due to contact lens wear or not) I have heard from people who just love it as it really helps with dry eyes...as its long lasting in your eyes.

...I don't think you need a prescription either to buy it...

But get advice from your eye care specialist about all of this!

For me I find the AMO Blink contacts is perfect for me available in packs of 20 ampules or in a small bottle. Especially beneficial if I have been working in areas of high airflow like my lab that has a high rate of air exchange and is airconditioned too or if I have forgotten to take regular breaks from the pc.

For me though, it is not the lens area that gets irritable, but I feel it in the rest of the eye.

that simulator is great.i could finally show my husband how i see things. maybe he'll have more sympathy for me now.lol. i may even get a cheescake out of him!!! :lol:
