Just wondered, but how long each day are you wearing your lenses? All lenses need time to build up wearing tolerances - but because the vision is so good compared with glasses there is a temptation to over wear the lenses. Maybe just reducing the wear time slightly could help.

As you are new to lenses are you going back for a check-up soon? If the irritation doesn't go with the simple suggestions here on the forum you should ask your optometrist at your check-up.

Most days they are fine. I am wearing them all day with a day off at the weekend. I've found that when I take them out, I can't see a thing with glasses on. However, if I put glasses on first thing in the morning, I can see OK. Which kinda means I can't wear them for a few hours then swap.

I've already had one checkup, but only had one day's irritation at that point. Have another checkup booked in a couple of weeks.

To be honest, my KC is nowhere near as bad as a lot of you guys and the irritation is occasional. I just want to know what's the best solutions and stuff to use since I've never had any lenses before.

Thanks for all the other replies.

I will try storing the lenses in the Renu solution for now, and I have bought some eye drops and "sensitive" saline. I'll post some updates after I've tried these.

Hypromellose drops sound good. Daft question... Are they all the same (like buying paracetamol) or are some brands better than others?

Thanks for all the advice. After switching to storing them in soft solution and rinsing them in this "sensitive" saline they are much more comfortable.

I just hope it continues.

:D
