Hi
Is it common that a eye which have been thru corneal transplant is more sensitive that one eye without corneal transplant?
Also, do you guys feel that have been thru a graft procedure that the eye is more intolerable to lens wear?

No idea how common this is but yes afetr my grafts the cornea was more sensitive for many years afterwards, but over 20 yeasr this is no longer the case.Grim10 wrote:Also, do you guys feel that have been thru a graft procedure that the eye is more intolerable to lens wear?
I managed with glasses post graft but after 16 years I did need to go back to RGP's and initially I could manage 8 hours lens wear but only upto 5 days per week, but after a couple of yeasr this was down to about 1 hour for a maximum of 5 dayes per week. Now on soft lenses for KC and I wear them all my waking hours with no lens sensitivity infact I can't tell I have lenses in, vision is better than with RGP's.
