I just got scleral lenses one week ago. I have some issues that I would like to hear some opinion about and also share...
First of all, I have PK (Pentrating Keratoplastic) done in one eye. I have no trouble wearing the lens but have some real issues when I take it out.
It feels like i am injuring my eye when removing the lens, like it builds some kind of pressure. Is this normal and what technique to use when removing the lens. Also after removal my eye is red and swollen, it almost feels like i have continuos sand in my eye. The next day there is a bit better but then it starts all over again. Is this normal procedure getting used to lenses? Should i stop wearing it for a while?
Thanks in advance for your responses helping me.....

Re: Scleral lenses
If you explain the trouble to your optometrist it may be possible to overcome the vacuum effect by drilling a fenestration in the lens.
