Graft on Thursday

Postby Kim Remmington » Mon 06 Dec 2004 12:19 am

Hi Sophie
I am also having a graft on the 9th! I now just want to get the operation over with, like you it is the recovery that I think about. I haven't been able to get to my computer for a while but I have read about Janet offering help for homeopathic options. Janet, would it be possible for you to contact me, or can I contact you? My email remmington@lineone.net. I am already taking Bilberry and eyebright.

Many thanks for the advice and help I got here a while ago.

Sophie, wishing you well on Thursday and hoping we both get excellent results!
Kim

Hi Kim,

Don't panic too much about the recovery period. There's not usually any pain - just an irritation for a couple of days in my case.

Do listen to the consultant though when you're discharged. Take someone with you if you can, as the advice is very important, and you must follow it.

Close the curtains, get some music or a couple of talking books in, and relax. Also, remember to wear the eye shield when sleeping, showering, going out or being around children (and probably pets, too).

Very best of luck to you Kim, and to Sophie, too. I hope you're back online soon, sharing your experience with the rest of us!
John

Good luck to both ladies...I am sure you will be fine!

Kim, I was seeing Mr Morgan last week and I mentioned you and your pending graft...he just said that he could'nt discuss individual patients...always the professional!

Anyway I am back up there next week for ERG's and other visual tests...may bump into at Sunderland one of these days!

Have a good christmas!
Dave.
