Wow Loz - brilliant news & great pic. too... My eyesight is a bit weak so never saw what mine looked like after the Graft so really fascinating to see yours as I can hold my iPhone nice and close!!! It's incredible to think it was only 10 days ago since the graft - just looks like an eye on the morning after the heavy night before - just let people think the resness is from a hangover!!!
Keep up the amazing progress!
Best wishes
Jez

Thanks Jez, I have pics from the day after it was done lol, wanted to keep a wee picture diary of how it progressed. Was talking to someone else who has Brother with KC and his vision improved 3 days after op ! This is the most frustrating part for me lol was wondering what ppl thought of me going for a pair of glasses just now to aid with the sight until it comes back properly or is this not advisable ? can you all let me know what you think please. Jez ipads are great for people with KC i think, cos can zoom right in and also great for reading. Have posted a pic of My eye the day after it was done also if your interested to see the difference

Brill - thanks for second picture Loz... Amazing to see. That must have been one heck of a night on the town with that level of red eye lol. Thank you - never realised I would have looked like Christopher Lee with burning eyes about to sink my teeth - at least they are my own and not someone else's lol. I wear specs. After my graft and it seems ok - lenses a real no go for me - loads of reasons but... In the context of poor vision they work ok for me. I particularly benefit from being able to wear prescription sunglasses to cut out the glare. Just adds further to the image of having a hangover!!!!
Take care Loz

Great to hear that all is going well post graft, xloz. As for how quickly vision comes back, that seems to vary hugely between different people or even between eyes (with my first graft I didn't really have useable vision out of the grafted eye until I could wear a lens on it again, with the second I was noticing a big improvement after a couple of months). The only trouble with getting glasses to help at this stage is that your vision is likely to fluctuate a lot over the next months so it could get very expensive if you keep having to have a new prescription. Do you wear a contact lens on your other eye, and do you get reasonable vision out of that?

yes i wear contact in other eye, but not fantastic vision in that one either lol have to get that eye done next, was just bit worried when i was told that person started to get change in vision after 3 days and i was still a blur, knowing my luck will be ages, but will all be worth it in the end and am so greatful i was able to get it done.

am a wee bit excited lol even though the i feel the vision hasnt improved in grafted eye, i got a snellen chart up on pc and followed instructions of how far away to stand etc. I could do to the fourth line ! could only do this with both my hands covering eye and making a tiny slit to see through, bit like pinholes i guess, but made me feel a bit better as i could only do second line before graft and everything was blurry before too and it looked crystal clear. Im well excited for next appointment now :D

Blimey - way to go Loz! What are you going to post on here next? Persuing career in Astronomy? Training to be a fighter jet pilot? Becoming a microbiologist without the need for a microscope?!!!! I am really pleased for you - it is really great news. It also helps misery guts like me to hear how well it is going! Really chuffed for you and in case I don't the chance later "Happy Easter" - no excuses for not finding eggs in the Easter Egg Hunt now!!!
