Hello All,
I have had KC for 6 years and been seen at a (former) local hospital and have come close on a few occasions to being referred for a graft. After moving house I asked my new GP to move me to a more local hospital (as the other is now 2 hours away).
My first problem was that my previous GP, who referred me to the hospital, had not put anything on my medical records about my KC. However my new GP trusted me to be telling the truth!
I booked my first appointment last week at my new hospital, however on Thursday I received a letter in the post from the new hospital basically saying they don't see any point in seeing me as there's nothing wrong with my eyes!!!
My new GP haven't heard anything from the hospital so they don't know why I've been turned away. Has anyone else experienced problems moving hospitals?

Re: Moving Hospitals
Hi Alex,
Have you tried contacting your old hospital to see if they can make the referral? Something else to bear in mind is that some of the small local hospitals see very little KC so may not have much experience of dealing with it.

Re: Moving Hospitals
Thanks Anne,
I'm having a chat with my new GP tomorrow afternoon to see what she can do to sort it out. So if need be I will get her or I will personally contact my former hospital.
Thanks for the help.
