Here are some simple to understand infomation on a proteinase (an enzyme)which breaks down other protein which has been found to be the little buddy behind KC.
Apparently.....from doing some research....they are tring to work towards a gene therapy to solve our problems.....
Which I believe should restore the cornea back to normal.....hopfully!!!

Also I found out (from a university, that is developing artifical corneas) that KC is a fairly common disorder......as there are many who correct well with glasses and there is no progression...so these people don't know they have KC......
