Cost of Kerasoft IC

Postby Fordy » Mon 17 May 2010 7:31 pm

Guys,

I am now seriously considering going down the private route to enable me to try Kerasoft.

We have settled on Frequency Exel Toric from Coopervision, a soft monthly disposable for my right eye (better eye), and this is OK, but my optom is still insisting that even after 10 unsuccessfull attempts to fit a Flexi Edge lens (hybrid type) to my left eye, that we persevere with this, and wont even condider a soft lens because in his opinion it just wont work.

He is a really nice bloke but I want to try the soft option, so how much could I expect to pay for Kerasoft as I dont have an open ended budget for this.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Fordy

it is worth going for the consultation, but as with everything else in keratoconus, it is only when the eye care professional has examined you, and often then only after you have tried a possible solution, that you will know if this route is right for you.
