Pete, did all the specialists say that the best that can be done is the soft lenses you have? If so, get your GP to refer you elsewhere! Soft lenses are only any use for very, very "mild" keratoconus. Once it develops, they simply aren't hard enough to "squash" the cornea into shape! I used to have problems with my local so-called specialist, but after seeing my GP I go to a top specialist. It is a bit of a trek (I spend longer in the car than in the hospital!) but I have never looked back
