hi andrew,

yeh it seems that way, new treatments you read about never turn out to be 'the cure' you hoped they would be.

anyway, on the positive it seems like cxl is quite straightforward and cheap, and the reports on it are v encouraging, so i hope it gets cleared on the nhs soon so more people can have it done, even if they are still part of wider trials.

i guess after patients who've had cxl have been followed up for more years we'll know if it works long term or not and what limitations it may have.

i've spent £1800 on it so it'd better work or i'll be pretty pissed off.
