I am 57 and have had KC all my adult life. Yes, I have had surgery in both eyes.
The worst bit about KC for me is that I do not know that the sight I have today will still be with me tomorrow.
The best thing is that with help and support I can live a normal and richly fulfilling life.

How long since you were diganosed?: 21 years since first diagnosed, 2004 KC returned in right eye.
Which eye is your bad eye?: Right
Have you had surgery?: Right 1987; Left 1988
Hardest thing for you about living with KC?; Motorsport licence suspended eventhough I get perfect vision with lenses. Without lenses only thing I can not do is drive.

How long since you were diagnosed?: Twenty six years.
Which eye is your bad eye?: Right now they're pretty much identical.
Have you had surgery?: Yes, on both eyes.
Hardest thing for you about living with KC?: Pre graft - coping with my lenses. Post graft - avoiding fluorescent and halogen lighting, both of which are very uncomfortable for me - and both of which seem to be everywhere I go!
But on the bright side (no pun intended
) if that's the worst bit then I've nothing really to complain about have I?

I'm very lucky it's really mild and I shouldn't complain. But I'm really hacked off that I couldn't have my eyes laser treated after saving up and psyching myself up for so long
