for indeed,it is not the eyes that grow blind but it is the hearts which are within the bosoms that grow blind...

Eman,

This is easy for me to say, I know. But try to resist rubbing your eye.

Walk away from the PC; put a cold eye drop in your eye (keep them in the fridge). Sit on your hands or put them in your pockets or something.

Once the urge to rub subsides, it will get easier. I used to rub my eyes occasionally, but forced myself not to after each graft. I no longer have the urge to rub now.

John is right, but I was never good at taking good advice. Before my surgery, when I wanted to rub my eyes I used to rub my eyes

Now what I do is get a cold and wet face cloth to make a pad which I press gently onto my closed eye. I also have some artificial tears in the fridge.

I use wetting/lubricating eye drops, gives quicker and longer releif than eye rubbing.

Computer; put a time set to no more than 30 minutes. When the alarm goes, take a short break, only needs to be a minute or two. Works well for TV and reading.

What is happening, you are concentrating so much on seeing that your blink rate has gone down and so your eyes not being washed with tears as frequently as they should.

Sorry but i give in and rub just underneath my bottom eyelids. Has the same effect of relief as rubbing across your eyes. Don't know if it does as much damage?
