Hi everyone
Just found my way back to this site after some recent technical ( computer ) problems.
Pleased to see Mike Oliver's progress on the London Walk and it reminded me of my own little mountain to climb this Saturday.
I will be attempting to climb Snowdon with some friends who, like me, only do an occasional 5 mile weekend social walk. Whilst I have had KC for over 25 years, seeing the mountain is not a problem (I am pleased to say ), but getting to the summit could be as I had a sextuple heart bypass over 6 years ago. One of my co-walkers also had open heart surgery 12 years ago.............
It occurred to me that I should have sponsored myself to benefit KC, but maybe I could persuade one or two of you to do so now to add to Mike Oliver's fund if I were to be successful in getting to the summit. So if you think I can make it would you be prepared to add to my contribution ? What do you think?
We all have a mountain to climb and there are so many examples I have read about on this site, it would be nice to think that achieving mine might help others in a less fortunate position.
Regards
Richard

Climb every mountain
Well that certainly puts our pathetic little hill on Wednesday into perspective! The very best of luck Richard, and we'll be thinking of you tomorrow as we cross the Thames again to complete our walk.

Hiya everone.
Pleased to say that, not only did I reach the top of Snowdon on Saturday, but I also managed to get down again despite a bout of vertigo half way up!
I had muscles I never knew I had complaining all the way but was rewarded with fantastic views from the top on a brilliant sunny day. This made me appreciate how well my piggybacks were working so I will be sending a cheque to the KC fund to help those not so lucky as me.
I took lots of photos and I will post them (as soon as I have worked out how to do it! ) to show you what a brilliant view we all had.
Richard
PS Congratulations to Mike, Anne and all those who took part in the recent London walk!

Hiya all
Worked out how to display an image so here is proof I got to the top of my mountain! ( to see what I saw click on the image for a bigger photo if you like). If you want to make a donation send me an email marked KC to richard@godbolt.org and I will let you have my address details. Or send it straight to the KC Group if you prefer.
If you set your sights on a challenge you CAN achieve it, doing it with KC just gives you more satisfaction!
Richard
Good luck to everyone with their own challenges...
