I think a high level overview in the FAQ with a Pic, and then going forward a article would be a good basis to approach this?, in my opinion

I agree...
An article is easier to layout and easier to indlude pics and diagrams.
Now then.. as to diagrams, I could do with a little help as though I can do them OK on Adobe or Fireworks, they are rather time consuming. Any of you graphic whizzes out there willing to give a hand??
And yes I know there are loads of pics on the net BUT there are copyright issues and its better if we do our own for the site I feel.

I think that if an answer to a FAQ is complex enough to need illustrating, then the FAQ answer should only be a stub that links to a better article.
Oh, and as for graphics, I'm not that hot on creating them myself either
. But I'd certainly prefer them being created as GIFs, JPEGs or PNGs, (as created by something like Fireworks) as they're far easier to incorporate into the site.
