I'm in West Central Scotland, a small town that used to be the world's most productive centre for shibuilding: for about a century from 1860 to the mid 1960's we built over half the world's annual tonnage.

I checked today with some of the people who live here and who are called vize, they confirmed that their families had come originally from the Dublin area.

It is a wee small world, right enough!
