Pinhole Vision (with FLASH animation)

Postby K Man » Wed 08 Mar 2006 10:47 am

Hi, I am interested in hearing from anyone experiencing difficulties obtaining clear pinhole vision. Please click the following flash movie link for a better understanding.

http://www.smartgroup.com/vault/NewGroup/Public/index.html (will open up in a new page, give it time to load)

I have reposted (thanks to Andrew MacLean)

If this is familliar to you please consider the following

Did this type of vision occur after a significant event such as
Hydrops
Cornea Graft (state PK, DLK)
Cataract
OR/AND any other

Has this type of vision improved or worsend over time (state duration in months)

What explanation have you been given by your consultant

Has any treatment / surgery been administered

State any other information you feel is significant

Would appreciate any help however small

Thanks K

You need flash installed, May take a while to load (if using dial up), might be the flash player version, just doing a quick fix!

K Man

Is this some sort of formal research or part of a study? As it seems you have spent some time , thought and effort to produce it!

Like the animation !!

K Man

I see

Well here is my experience with Pin Holes

Pre Graft

Pre Hydrops
Could achieve around 6/18 with Pin Hole when my KC was at Advanced Stage, however this was not consistent and was largely affected by how long my eyes were left "lens free"

Post Hydrops, I could not get adequate vision with Pinhole. The whole image would be distorted as if looking through a thin layer of Vaseline.

Post Graft

Within the first 6 weeks I could get around 6/24 with PinHole and as more sutures were removed, and thus cornea surface altered, my pin hole vision increased to 6/9 / 6/12

Hope that helps
