Hi all my scleral lenses are marked to, so I can tell which way around to hold them when I put the in. The only problem with that is the marks are one and two small dots on the lens edge and I can't see them! So one of my able assistants gets called to do the job or I put them in and out a few times...

Hi all It does seem really silly doesn't it when the only way we can see is with lenses and when we speak to the people in the chemists they advise 'contact lenses are looked upon as for vanity and therefore solutions are not available on the prescriptions list' Well my 'barbie soup bowls' are certa...

Hi all I want to second what Karl has posted you 'should' be covered by DDA however as Carl say's and as my solicitor quite clearly told me in the end it comes down to the tribunal. Basically it is a load of old tosh, the law needs re writing as it is too woolly. For example if you are deaf you are ...

Hi Pat Just starting out, it's just 11 years - well I suppose we got past the 7year itch and John keeps reminding me that the more years pass by the more of my pension and income he will be eligible to claim if I decide to trade him in for a younger, younger model (he is 3yrs younger than me). :roll...

I have found that the more I worry about it or hope it won't happen the more it does. So after much worry and fretting I now just stand leaning over the bathroom sink and try to hold...

My eyes are pretty dire first thing in the morning as well and to be honest I don't feel that my employer understands that. Nor for that matter was the hospital who fit my scleral lenses aware that it could take me anything between 2 - 3 hours from getting up to putting my lenses in and being able t...
