Re: Toric ICL
It depresses me greatly that I cant get an implantable lens. Apparently my eye is too shallow or something.

Re: Kerasoft Advice
Yeah, Lynn is the expert and really nice. I saw her a few times last year, with a view to wearing keraflex, but for me it was really tough getting lens that worked due to the various problems with my eye. They are alot more comfortable than RGP's though, and I imagine if you wear them enough to get ...

Re: Post Cross linking help
Gowrav, after crosslinking the eye will fluctuate for several months. Mine initially improved, then got worse then improved again. All over the course of the last year. Your private clinic should not have just discharged you after 2 months. You should be having regular follow ups over the course of ...

Re: KC Contact lens specialists
My friend, we are in the same boat contact wise. I have the same problems with ghosting and visual acuity with rgp's and hybrid lenses and the soft lenses give slightly less ghosting but things are blurrier. Im stuck too- its annoying, because theres no obvious avenue for us to pursue! I'm glad i'm...

Re: KC Contact lens specialists
I know how you feel Liam :( My eye consultant basically told me I'm stuck with contacts. He doesn't like Intacs (his personal reasons), CXL benefits people with current progression (not me), and any other procedure is too new for any long term results. Now, RGP's and hybrid lenses all cause more gh...

Re: KC Contact lens specialists
Ah right, I was hoping thered be specialists knocking around that you could pay to go and see. Im getting to a point now, where money doesnt matter- I just need to get a soloution of some kind. Every time I try and go through the NHS I end up with a locum eye consultant (all 3 times) who admit they ...

I was just curious if there were optometrists/Lens fitters who actively specialised in KC?

Re: KC Contact lens specialists
Sorry Liam - my only advice is based upon the severity of my KC.. I am with Moorfields Eye Hospital. I guess my judgement may be clouded by the severity but... Would I go anywhere else? No. I wonder whether maybe you might go to your GP to query a referral to specialist in NHS? Just not sure, from ...

Re: KC Contact lens specialists
Hi Liam. If I remember rightly I think that you have had CXL treatment - so I wonder if the person who did that could recommend a good optician experienced or specialising in KC. May be worth a try. :D Heh, yeah I did :) The optician I use now, is the one the consultant recommended and hes been fan...
