Re: Graft tomorrow is off

Glad that they found out what was going on for you and really hope that they can sort you out. If you could...

Gareth, I have pondered a tint, but am going to pass on it as I have the same trouble in daylight with my sunglasses so can't see that it will make a real difference to me. Checking with my optician has confirmed that the distortion I have is going to be more obvious with bright spots so its more no...

Funnily enough I am seriously considering stopping driving at night at least.

Day time is not a problem at all, but with the distortion I get off lights at night make things are a tad erm interesting.

My optician says that my sight is fine for driving and not to worry.

You can get to the bottom line?!

Excellent - I didn't realise that was a possibility.

Personally I will settle for being able to see the board for now!

Its the Unix stuff at work thats going to be fun, at the moment I have been tweaking my current display settings on and off for 10 years to get them just so. Still its an excellent time killer when I have had the graft done as who knows what my vision will...

No problem Louise.. Actually what is irritating for us optoms is "ordinary" patients who can see if they wear glasses but choose not to. I actually end up arguing with them when they say "But I can see perfectly well " when they can't even get the top line!!! Thats my dad! He won't wear glasses and...

Funnily enough my optom told me that when he did the refferal letter for GP he was going to tell them which consultant I needed to see and that I was only to be refferred to that consultant and if the GP didnt send me to that particular consultant to let him know about it. When I went to see the GP ...

And if you live in a Unix world using something like FVWM to manage X display session (like yours trully), you are on your own for setting that up to work in a sane manner! Endless of hours of fun to be had from time to time. Still its a good excuse to tinker and waste an hour or two during a slack ...
