Warden sounds very apt actually. Dignified and caring, with just the hint of guard dog. Kinda like Buffy's Watcher of Frodo's Ranger. Although I do have to say at this point that you don't know hao lucky you are to have a name people can actually spell. I shall never get back the hours of my life I ...

Thank you Gareth Yes I think that's it somehow. Photographs are good but they are by nature static, my vision is in almost constant flux and it is the dynamic interplay of light and movement which cannot be captured in a single image. Squirting water onto safety glasses sounds like fun as well as ed...

Michael
You were quite right to stop watching Dr Who when you grew up - and if I ever grow up, I will not watch it either. 'Til then, I love it! :D

Is that what it was - the Dr's hand -of course, I missed that reference completely. Comes of ironing while watching TV!

Note to self - no more ironing!

On the issue of lenses and increasing/slowing rates of progression - My KC has progressed rapidly since I started wearing contact lenses, but it was progressing before which is why I started wearing them. There is a correlation certainly, but as to cause and effect, I fail to see how that can be det...

Yes I had a pair once with tiny R and L engraved on them. Or at least that is what the optician said - I never actually saw these letters as they were very small and I have an eye condition which limits my ability to see, especially when not wearing my contact lenses! Once I pointed this out we agre...

A Lilac lens!! Now I am really jealous - what other colours can you get? Do you think pink would make me look too much like a white rabbit? I have very pale skin and a tendency to twitch my nose when thinking! I've followed the suggestion as above (bLue for left and gReen for right) I was a bit conc...

Wow Prue, quite a day! You'll have to write it up and put record of it in the scrapbook with you nieces christening photographs, so that one day you can tell her what the grown ups, who love her, were doing on her big day. And why her mother looks as though she is crying on all the photos! Brigid

Torchwood

Well what are we thinking. I enjoyed it. It is bobbins but fun. Quite a change from Dr Who though. I know they always said it would be aimed more at adults but I was rather taken a back. I don't know how many parents are going to react when they realise that this is the show so heavily marketed thro...
