Nicola.....I just began driving as well with similar traits as yours. It is a relief to just drop down to the grocery ALONE for a change. I have a similar problem with the rain and believe it to be the glare off other cars headlamps......as they tend to run with them on in the rain. And, like ...

I think the rim of the contact rides right on the scar line of the graft or very near to it.

Which one of you inventors out there wants to present us with SPRAY ON CONTACT LENSES? Wouldn't that be sweet?

Down to just a couple of images!!

Greetings all!! After an extended wait, or so it seemed to me, I finally got a new RGP for my first eye. It was DALK grafted in October. So, the lens does, indeed, give me better vision and cuts down on the number of stray or ghost images. But, the physical fit is a little strange and it is not as c...

I really wish you all were here, or I was there, and we could all sit down to a pint together. you all are the greatest. Till now my left eye, latest graft, has been quite comfortable, but today I am having what I can only call stitch pain. Nothing major, just a little bit of discomfort. Cheers, Piper

Thanks all......actually I am not brave, but , rather a coward of the worst kind. It was easier to face that snake in the living room than it would have been to face my wife and daughter if the snake had been allowed to stay in!!

Beyond Black Dots

I have made a milestone in my vision. Today while a service technician was here at my home re-wiring some things he left the front door open....... My vision has gotten good enough that I was able to (rather plainly) see the 3 1/2 Black Rat Snake climb up the single step and enter my house. Further,...

I never had a black dot till after my second graft. Turned out to be a BURNED area on my retina from the focus of the surgical lamp. I'm learning to live with it.

Adjustment to contact lenses in the UK

When I read things like the above it makes me think that the art of fitting lenses is very different in the UK and the US.........most people here do not find that theyk need a long learning period, a break in period, whatever you want to call it. Most places that fit lenses have a surface mapping./...
