Re: Registering to post on this forum

Thanks for the helpful CAPTCHA suggestion, Space_cadet. In fact we had EXACTLY that system in place before we were completely overrun with spam. Unfortunately, the spammers are incredibly sophisticated these days, and have pretty much infinite computing power (a.k.a. the human brain). It works like ...

Re: Newsletters

Steven, All newsletters which I have produced are now online, alas I can't go back to issue 1, as I don't have a copy of them. The previous newsletter editor hasn't had anything to do with the group for some years now. As for postage, we actually get a significant discount of our postage costs becau...

Re: TV Program on KC - 2

Actually, just to correct Chris, I think at least one committee member (who doesn't post here) is going to take part in the programme.

Re: Forum

It seems that Google "forgot" us on Christmas Eve.

I've asked them to look at us again, but it may take a couple of days for them to do it.

Re: Forum

Thanks very much for the note, Kieran. I'm investigating this with Google, but it's apparantly not uncommon for a site to disappear for weeks at a time when Google play with their algorithms.

Registering to post on this forum

Registration on this forum is currently closed. We're really sorry about this, but we are currently seeing over 100 spammers register on the forum every day and make inappropriate posts; and we are spending far too much time having to deal with them. I hope to be able to make registration open again...

Members only

It has recently been brought to my attention that the old members-only area had disappeared. Seems that was a file that I omitted to restore from the old server. I've now recreated it, and the members-only section is back. I've also taken the opportunity to move the recent posts concerning the runni...

Re: Topography after corneal graft

For me it was at my appointment 2 weeks after the eyelid was unstapled, so about 2.5 weeks post-graft.

Re: eye drops for eurethamicin

I was on dexamethasone (Maxidex) after my graft and all the rejections (unpreserved hourly, but can't remember the strength, maybe 0.2%?). That gave me high eye pressure, and to avoid glaucoma was presribed Xalatan drops, a beta blocker. It did the job well, but the side effect of that was to give m...
