Re: Does the progression of KC stop after age 40?

Yes we're all individuals.
I'm not! :D

Mine started when I was 35, I'm only 2 years on and I hope it stops when I am 40. My brother's KC started when he was a teenager and seems to have stabilised now that he is 36.

This probably doesn't help much...

Cannot download this at all. I just get linked to a page where I have to buy some RAR software to use it.

Re: feeling run down

Chris, Sorry to hear you are feeling rough  I too felt pretty shaky post-op. I think the general really wipes you out (rather than the actual surgery), so I am not surprised you have had a run of illness. Question for a medical type: do the steroids supress your immune system and therefore ...

Re: Get a Life ....Get a Dog!

The Dog Whisperer is on Sky 3 (freeview) everyday at 6pm. The guy is called Cesar Millan and he seems very effective as he deals with aggressive dogs mostly. Watching him clicking his fingers and watching an agressive pit-bull spring off the couch and becoming submissive is exciting viewing (if you ...

Re: Should I Be worried>

Thanks a lot, guys! :D My next appointment is very close so I will ask then. I am functioning OK, although I am considering quitting driving, I am borderline, I think using my right eye with a lens. I only drive short distances and when I have too. :D

Should I Be worried>

I am 4 months post graft in my left eye (DALK). My vision in that eye is different (no more multiple images) but actually no better. I cannot see the big X on the chart (what does this make me?) which is the same as before. Last time I saw my Consultant, he said it wasn't healing as quickly as it sh...

Re: Sunglasses

I agree with Armapal, you don't have to spend a fortune. I got mine from Boots with a Cat 3 Polarised lens at half price (£20). The main thing is to get a Cat 3 or 4 Polarised lens. Cat 4 is illegal for driving however! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Re: Kerasoft Success!

Hi, I use a Kerasoft lens in my right eye (my left eye is grafted). I think they are great as I simply couldn't wear rgps for any length of time. But my vision in the Kerasoft lenses is not as good as rgps especially at night, because of the streaking. I am fairly sure the KC in my right eye is prog...

Re: KC & Cannabis?

My Grandmother was prescribed cannabis for pain relief with her arthritus. We all thought it was very funny indeed having a Grandma on dope  Her pain was very extreme however and she was at an age where perhaps the side effects were of less importance. Cannabis affects long term cognitive abili...
