shame that does sound like an ordeal... i am glad it is feeling better- was it an ulcer? i have experienced how quickly they can attack and how painful they are... my doctor knows now that i know the difference between an ulcer and a scratch... if i say it is an ulcer i go to the front of the queue....

i had these plugs fitted and i think it helped. They put trial ones in first and then a week or two later put the permanent ones in. it is a very simple painless procedure... a little ticklish only. they are little pieces of silicone (i think) which the opthalm picks up with tweezers and slips into ...

shame ian, i know what you mean....
i normally just wet my fingers ALOT with soaking solution and feel around until i find it. the worst is when it folds over itself and hides under your eyelid....
i think the drops will help.... let us know

well done- i am glad you are getting the hang of it. i always carry a baby mirror and a sucker thingy a case with fresh solution in it and a little sterile wipe (the ones called Blephadosis- made for people with Blepharitis- you can actually wipe the inside of the eyelids with this...) the last one ...

the two lenses are very different to deal with but it is just a learning curve. you will get the hang of it. my trick is to keep the left lenses (soft and hard) in one case and the right eye lenses in another. the lids swop so that you can have one green box and one white box. getting the soft lens ...
