Re: soreness behind eyes

most of us have been through a similar experience. I hated RGP lenses at first and refused to wear them for about a year, but eventually my vision was not acceptable and I tried again. For me it took about 2 months to get used to them and there have been many troubled times, but with a good contact ...

Re: Post graft questions

thanks for the responses about driving. i will practice driving with one eye now while i wait for my transplant. i hope i cope, because it is an important part of my work, and it is my own business (with partners) so taking a lot of time off is not really an option.

Re: my right eye vision has been decreased

Hi Eman, The same thing happenend to me. My vision in my right eye deteriorated rapidly after a 'scratch incident'. I first went to my optometrist to see if it was a lens thing, but then had to see my doctor, who said it was probably a scar. I suggest you see your doctor and see what he says, then y...

Re: graft & Sport

I have a great snow skiing holiday planned for April, which should have been okay, but my surgery has been delayed and I am still waiting. IF I hear something this weekend i will only have 8-9 weeks before my trip. I suppose I should start getting used to the idea of missing my trip! I am a relative...

Good luck Becky. I am also waiting for transplant, so I have an idea of what you are feeling. I can't give any advice though. let us know how it goes.

Re: Transplant & makeup

Thanks for the responses. you are probably right. even with my normal piggybacks i dont wear mascara on the bottom lid because it gets smudged with my own tears or the artificial tears.
I will do without makeup then. It will give me 10 minutes extra every day. I will call it a holiday.

Transplant & makeup

Maybe a stupid question... Can you wear makeup after a transplant? After a few weeks? I can probably live without the mascara but what about concealer under the eyes. I have bad dark rings under my eyes.

Re: Graft Update -DIVING

Matthew,

You mentioned diving. Do you mean scuba diving? i am waiting for a full thickness PK, and my doctor has told me that i should be able to dive after a few months (once it is fully healed). Does anyone know any reasons why this may not be so?
