Re: Feeling a bit sorry for myself

Sorry girlypants. I hope your checkup went well. i agree with Andrew. Be careful not to be impatient and put the lens back too soon. rather safe than sorry.

Re: which KC symptom that affects you the most?

ARRRGHH bright flashing lights. i recently went to a Joe Cocker concert and they kept accentuating the music by flashing bright lights into the crowd. I couldn't leave because i would have ruined for my boyfriend and parents, so i spent the whole concert looking at the floor- i WISH i had my singlas...

Re: Sunglasses

i also had a pair of Maui Jims and they were great--- but i broke them. I need sunglasses ALL the time, so i find it a better plan to buy many pairs of cheaper glasses. My criteria for choice are: big- wraparound- polarized- dark lens. I do have a variety for different things. like i have a pair tha...

Re: which KC symptom that affects you the most?

there are so many. i think one of the worst for me has been restricted vision and tired eyes at night- I really miss the days where i could read in bed before going to sleep. i still try but normally only manage about 1 page before giving up.

Re: Corneal Abrasion...

Sorry Adam. I also know all about those corneal abrasions. The trick is not to put your lens back before the abrasion is well healed. Follow doctors directions on this one- but I had so many that I eventually got used to judging it. Usually I would wait an extra day after the pain had gone away. If ...

Re: KC and Flying

Flying in Commercial Airliner- the dry air is the only problem i have had. i always take a clean case with solution (or 2- because i used to wear piggybacks) and lots of individual capsules of artificial tears. then i just struggle through. the longest flight is have done was 13 hours, but I have do...

Re: PROBLEM!! ANY IDEAS?

i had my graft almost 3 weeks ago. i experienced some visual disorientation afterwards. my right eye was funnily the stronger eye (corrected) and that was the one i had the operation on. it took about 2 weeks for my brain to figure out what was going on, but it has now taken my vision from my left e...

Re: new here

welcome MikeWV. I visit construction sites (which are probably not as bad) and I cope with good wraparound glasses. As andrew says- some dust proof goggles might be the answer- and some single use artificial tears to flush out any problems. i also found that piggybacks (a RGP lens over a soft lens) ...
