Ah yes, I have that every time as well - utter waste of time for the first few months.
I am always tempted to just shout out random letters and see what she does!

Don't forget guys that you are only just post-op, my consultant (I am 9 months post op) said that the first few months are about healing and getting the new cornea to attach to the eye properly. 9 monthish update
Evening all. Returned to see the consultant recently, almost 9 months post op. Had a couple of sutures removed and can now manage five lines off the snellen chart! Am very pleased with how things are going. Though my frustrations with the NHS appointment system are another story and are related on m...

Well I am certain that my vision has improved, without glasses I use the grafted eye all the time (yes I can choose which eye I use - amblyopia iirc). I can almost read this screen without glasses, (About a foot away 1280x1024 and standard sized fonts) if it wasnt for the slight ghosting I am sure t...

It amazes me how long everyone is on the steroids post graft! 20 years ago I was only on them for 3 months, now it seems the going rate is at least 9! Anyone know the reason why? I guess that medical knowledge has advanced and that they feel there is a better chance of success with extended steroid...

OK heres the link: http://www.paosborne.com/images/eye-closeup.jpg It is not that humoungous now I have cropped it right down to chop off my eyebrow and fingers. :-) Sorry if it is not quite in focus, though it isn't bad considering it was taken with a compact cam as an experiment with the macro mod...
