Re: KC and excercise
Is this post-op. Because otherwise, I shouldn't think there would be restrictions. You should really speak to your doctor about this however, he/she will give you the best advice. Immediately post-op (graft) I remember being very limited in case the stitches were compromised. For a while I also had ...

Re: Kerasoft IC Lenses
Ihave used kerasoft since 2007. I found them very good for my right eye. I had mild KC in that eye until recently and the kerasoft worked well for that. I am not at all tolerant of rgps so it was a good compromise. The vision is not as good as for an rgp but the comfort is very good. Sadly, I must s...

Re: Got Keratoconus, What field do you work in??
I am a naval officer. Used to be a mine clearance diver but after I had a graft to the left eye, the navy said I could not dive anymore. Ironically, my opthamologist gave me a DALK especially so I could continue diving but my uncorrected va is not good enough (it says so in the book). I never dived ...

Re: 100% vision but Extreme Light Sensivity,Headache and dry
Hi, Possibly you are not going to get on with rigid lenses. I could not bear rgps even though I got very good vision. Summer time and hayfever made it worse. Although I ended up with a graft in the left eye, I have been able to get good vision with Kerasoft lenses over the last 5 years in the right....

Re: Extreme light sensitivity
Hi Caroline, Not too helpful then. Sorry to hear about that. It is difficult to differentiate between what is normal discomfort and what is an alarm bell. I have found that heading into eye casualty when things get unbearable has always worked for me. Although I am very light sensitive, I have alway...

Re: Extreme light sensitivity
I can sympathise with that, I had a bout of breaking stitches this summer and the photophobia was the biggest hint that something was wrong. You must be glad that at least you know what is going on.

Re: eye drops - help
Hi,
I tried systane and viscotears and they are pretty good. Recently tried Hycos but found it burns my eyes. I am using Celluvisc drops now and they are the best I have tried so far.

Maybe the XBOX is turning you into an evil munkey-clone, hence the red eyes?

Re: What do you think?
Yeah, good luck with your dreams of joining the Armed Forces. I have no idea what the eyesight standards are but you might be able to find out through the careers service. If it is anything like the UK, there are different standards for different occupations so you might be able to find something th...
