I worried myself silly about things before my first graft - the psychological aspects of it being a transplant more than the actual op itself. I felt really badly that for me to see again someone would have to die. I just kept reminding myself that they would be dying anyway and that it was their wi...

I think I had my first glasses about nine months post graft. The only problem is that your prescription is likely to be constantly changing so it comes down to whether the cost is worth the short time the prescription is going to be right. It always comes down to money doesn't it? How do you ...

My daughters are both fine as well. :D Last year I was worried silly about them but after joining here and learning so much from you guys those worries have virtuall...

Must see someone about my RFS (random flippancy syndrome). Nooooo! Don't do that. RFS rules! :P I'm with you 100% on the human side of things. It's one thing to know facts about KC but quite another, and just as important, to be able to communicate with people who truly understand the impact ...

Thanks Jay. :D They were both done at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, and both by Mr Sandford Smith who has since retired. I forgot to say that my sight didn't improve much in the months following the grafts. What I had on that first day is pretty much what I have without my glasses now. I'm due to s...

Post graft sight recovery times

With both grafts I went from not being able to see the eye chart to being able to read three or four lines d...
