Re: Any help would be really appreciated

Hi Cat sorry to hear about the troubles. Can i suggest Kerasoft 3 lenses. i have not tried them myself so cant give too much practical advice. However they are soft lenses designed for KC and i understand can give good results. I have seen a number of posts on this forum where people who cant cope w...

Re: JACK ALLEN CONTACT LENSES

Thanks Amarpal that's really useful. i'm glad that you were mentioning lenses falling out because my RGP in my left eye is starting to get more difficult to fit. Its difficult to get one that doesnt move around a lot. I'm also finding that i use piggybacks a bit in that eye so maybe these are going ...

JACK ALLEN CONTACT LENSES

Hi, Has anyone got any expericne of the Jack Allen Flex Edge lenses? They look like they are a hybrid lens made up of both RGP and soft lenses, which sound interesting. Everyone talks about Rose K Lenses a lot but they dont work for me. I'm looking around for alternatives and would like to know abou...

Crosslinking Trials in USA

A while ago i mentioned to Tim Tim that i'd seen referrence to C3R trials in USA. Well i've stumbled across the site again. The link is: http://www.vision-institute.com/techniques/intacs.html Thought this may be of use to people looking for a USA option. Maybe this is old news but as tesco says ... ...

Re: A very quick update

Hi Amarpal, I too use piggy back lenses from time to time when my RGP lens rebs my cornea. I dont have to do it too often but it is always useful to stop some pain and increase wear time. I also use what my optom refers to as a "reverse piggy back" where the RGP lens is loose or if i need ...

Re: cost of collagen cross linking?

Tim, My doctor has quoted me about £1,800 for one eye and i am going back to see him in April. I suspect there is a deal on doing both eyes at once but if you want to convert this into US dollars, you should be able to find a conversion site on the web which will do this for you. I am also sure i ha...

Re: Lenses for Sport

Hi David, I wear standard RGP lenses for my sports which include cycling and competitive football among other things. For both i wear an old pair of RGP lenses with reasonable vision. I then use a "reverse piggyback" method whereby i put a non (or very low) powered daily soft lens over the...

Re: My RGP'S

Yes i would go back too. Its possible it worked in Optoms because you were sat still looking at one object, but i doubt you do that in real life!! I have a similar sort of problem with mine and it is all down to fit. My new set are coming today and i am positive that they will sit higher in the eye ...
