Hi Emma :D My grafts have both been fantastic successes. :D I hope I'm not jinxing myself here but I've never had a rejection episode and with my glasses I get 6/6 in each eye. My elder daughter was six when I had my second graft. She came to visit me in hospital wearing her nurses dressing up outfi...

Mine was a seemingly constant, steady progression. In the time it took for any new lenses to arrive the fit would have changed again. :(

Saying that, The day after both her grafts Alison managed to see three lines on the chart  :D Yes I did. :D Although I think I'm pretty much the only one here that achieved that sight so soon post graft, kept it and as my eyes healed improved on it. :( When I had my second graft I was warned...

I think you should be the Face of KC Grafts! :) :D Oh yeah, hiding behind dark glasses and a big floppy hat. :P  I'd love to know just what it is that has made mine both so successful - and I wish there were more people here with the same results so I don't feel quite so much the odd one out. ...

I agree with Gareth. :D I was diagnosed in the early 1980's and since things have changed out of all recognition. I remember thinking how fortunate I was not to have been born a generation or so earlier as I would have been well and truly sunk, so imagine what things could be like a generation or so...

I know! Both eyes! Unreal. I knew I had good sight compared to most here but I had no idea how good. How did I get to be so lucky? I'm not generally given to swearing but when he told me 6/6 I sat in the chair thinking 'bleeping bleep' .  I just wish all grafts were as sucessful.

You can do it Eman! :D If I can anyone can. The running joke coming up to my wedding day was that my sight was so bad I wouldn't know if I was marrying the right man or not. :D Thankfully I did, and I went on to hold down a job, run a household and have two children before my first graft. Looking ba...
