Re: Eye Hospitals in the UK

Whipps Cross hosital now has its own eye department (in a special uilding) with consultnat(s) on the staff, and also a specialist eye A&E (at other end of the eye building). Eye A&E is open longer hours than the main clinics; in the early hours of the morning (!) you go to main A&E and t...

Re: CATARACT OP Update - a bit desparate for info

Until recently, that was oneo f the main uses of scleral lenses - for people who'd had cataracts removed. I re...

Re: Acute Corneal Hydrops x 3 - graft the next option ......

Oh Susan! big hugs, and no you are not eing daft! I've survived 4 (at least) hydrops, so much fellow feeling and support - though mine don't sound all as bad as yours. If this is any sort of encouragement..... I found that even once the rift of the hydrops had healed, as per view through a slit lamp...

Re: Polarised Lenses and the plane of the Polarisation

Very interesting finding! I've long worn y polarised sunglasses, and am almost never out and about without them. I find them an enormous help in cutting out glar and reducing the light sensitivity. Can't say I'd noticed any improvement in visual acuity (how well I can see) but it would seem obvious ...
