I usually see a different optom each time I have an appointment anyway, and they seem to get more information from speaking to me than from the often unhelpful or obscure notes! I suppose you are entitled to your data under the data protection act etc

My favourite at the moment is Carbomer gel. That looks to be a US product so doubt many people here will have used it

No just a regular high street optician on the understanding that they won't give me the best possibls vision.

Yeah goggles are to be worn over the lenses

Hi All I have RGP lenses and glasses. Recently I have been looking for contacts to wear swimming and at recreational sports activities/theme parks. In these situations I would like to be able to see that massive clock on the wall and distance, but am not that bothered about great visual acuity. Anyt...

Yeah I got referred straight away as they said glasses wouldn't do anything for me. I hadn't worn glasses/contacts atall until i was quite blind though. They do help quite a bit though (glasses), bit annoying looking back as they would have really helped whilst i fumbled around waiting for contacts!!

Your GP probably won't know much about it, most aren't very knowledgeable regarding KC! They'll probably refer you to an ophthalmologist at your local hospital. It can take a few months depending on how long the waiting list is. There they can fit him with specialist contacts for KC or talk through ...

I see you've already had contacts fitted, hope they get better for you and the vision improves. Sometimes quite a bit of tweaking is involved at first, but you'll crack it :-)
