There is no doubt about it, KC is tough. I don't drive after dark and I've not worked for 4 years. But I'm now a Riding for the Disabled instructor, teach once a week locally which I probably wouldn't have done. Grafts have definately made a huge difference, definately not a quick fix but I've got m...

Mine definately hurt for the rest of the day when they did my left eye 3 yrs ago, but it was fine the next morning - no pain and better vision! I'm off to Liverpool tomorrow morning and as it's 12 months post op for the right eye now I think they might be taking the stitches out in that eye. Unfortu...

Glad it's gone so well Jenny :D With regard to lenses I am an extremely tenacious person but I'd had about as much as I could stand with lenses and am very glad I had my eyes grafted. Second one was done 8 months ago and doing well. Apart from visiting local hospital where eye doctor removed some mu...

Injured calf meant I walked 90% of it. Blisters from 6 miles requiring first aid and a queue for the loo added about 30 mins to my time. Crossed Tower Bridge in just over 3 hrs, passed my hubby running the other way - had a quick kiss over the barrier! They were washing away the blue line and cleari...

fly to London on Friday. No training at all for over a week due to calf, but I was planning to walk most of it anyway! Hope it stays dry on Sunday - wet, steamed up glasses will not be much use! Eyes sore because I'm hardly sleeping! But they're doing the marathon with me whether they like it or not...

Andrew - won't see him until June now, but will try to manage with glasses until stitches come out of right eye towards the end of this year. I can see really well compared to pre op, I'm just worried about the deterioration in the left eye.

It's really helpful to read all this. I know my left eye is worsening slowly, but it has been ever since the stitches came out 2 yrs ago and I'm concerned that it might just continue to deteriorate. I've noticed I'm having to turn my head more and more to get the right bit of the glasses lens to foc...
