Has anyone tried putting their lenses back in in a plane toilet? Thats an experience, especially with turburlance.
Maybe if you can you should become a member of the Mile Eye Club

All I'm guessing is this guy didnt get told what my optometrist told me when first being fitted with lenses - Don't let anyone let you believe that laser treatment will fix your eyesight as it wont - your corneas will burst first! - Don't sleep with your hard lenses in as you'll be needing a surgeon...

Do you have problems taking your lenses out? (ouch!)
Man kept contact lenses in for a year A Chinese man had to have his contact lenses surgically removed after he did not take them out for a year. Liu, 40, started to wear contact lenses a year ago and never took them out because he found it difficult. "I only have some eye drops for when they f...

I find telling grizzly stories of squint operations, constantly going to work with red eyes or letting your managers hold your scleral lenses helps quite well  Seriously, I've been really lucky with the support i've had for my KC. If eyesight is an important factor in getting your job done I've...

Hi Gareth I've been wearing them for 10 (various types) and this is my first infection, if I have one. I'm very strict with myself on the cleaning and if I have got an infection, unless the solutions arent doing their bit, i'm guessing its more bad luck than bad cleaning. I'm feeling a bit run down ...

Thanks all. I am actually lucky enough to be able to work from home (ran out of desks at the office!!). Unfortunately though, I share the spare room with the boiler (although an efficient combi one) and I'm guessing this is where my dry eyes are now coming from - especially during these winter month...

Dry eyes - do humidifiers work?
Hi all, Hope everyone is well. I am a KC'er and wear SoftPerm lenses (the ones with the hard centre and soft (sadly not chocolate) outer ring). Recently my eyes, although they do tend to be dry anyway, have been getting considerably drier. I cisited my doctor and he said I have conjunctivitis which ...

I would second that. I have used postoptics for a while now and found them to be very efficient. I've ordered both soft and RGP solutions from them in the past and always been able to find what I needed from them. Make sure you give them the correct details for your optician/hospital as they check t...

Thanks guys! Following on from another visit to the lovely people at Sussex Eye Hospital (everyone should go there, if not for anything but a good laugh!) I have now been referred to see Ken Pullum at Hertford. He seems to be 'the man to see' so hopefully I'll get some good results from going to see...
