right now i have blue cross PPO...and i havent really researched the financial aspect of the CT yet so I am not sure...but the lenses and the c3-r i am sure i have to pay out of my own pocket which is sad...and everything around LA is really pricy...i paid $600 to one lens dr who couldnt fit me with...

u guys are so lucky in england...i am still researching but looks like id have to flip the bill for that procedure myself...insurance here doesnt cover neither my contact lenses, nor intacs and not c3-r and not the transplant...

hi jay, i didnt say that, it was the doctors people that said that i am just copying their email...so i mean do you have to use drops for the rest of your life? cuz i dont really know i know doesnt all that make the whole procedure sound bad?? i agree...so i dunno is it really that bad or its not......

for anyone who is interested this is what Bari Rubin from Dr. Wachler's office sent me when I asked her about the CT procedure (seems like its not a day in the park:, and the fees are a lot) You would have to have two preop exams, one with Dr. Boxer Wachler and one with your regular doctor including...

double vision
i have kind of a very slight double vision in my good eye (only on bright objects) and like octa-vision in my bad eye..so double vision aint that bad...in my opinion:)

really that is very good news because i think i might need a graft....sigh....
another question: for people with grafts...do you usually still need a contact lens to achieve acceptable vision if yes, what kind, if no, what kind of uncorrectable vision can be achieved?

wondering if anyone who had intacs or corneal transplant done many years ago would share their experiences....how long do these things last...? what are the long term results?

lenses
i couldnt tolerate lenses at all at first..especially the hard little ones they were painful but now i kinda got used to it...now i have 2 types: 1 is a synergeyes and the other is soft one i kinda wear them both whenever i feel like one or the other...

CE approved is probbly same as FDA approved in the states... but still would be interesting to hear from ppl who had it.. i knwo a lot of ppl had...one guy i talked to on the phone from AZ said he experienced no improvement yet other ppl say their corneal thickness increases... with its steep price ...
