Re: Next West Midlands Meeting 9th July

Just to confirm that the meeting will take place as planned at 11:00am this coming Saturday in the Midland Eye Centre and everyone welcome. I also have a short report from one of our members who had a graft at Moorfields a month ago that I will read out as Ashley won't be there. He has said though t...

Re: Son of 7 years old just diognosed

Hello Benjollie, I'm sure you must be finding it difficult to cope with all the information you are getting and sort out what is relevant but, if you haven't already heard it, the first thing to note is there is no need to panic and the second thing is that you are now in touch with a really good so...

Re: Ideal industry to go into for career with KC

Glad to hear you are being proactive and getting some help Ash, also that you recognise the effect of stress. I know it's easy to say 'keep calm' when you don't feel that way but do try to avoid letting the tension get to you, even simple stuff like some deep slow breathing and trying to empty your ...

Re: Next West Midlands Meeting on April 16th

Thanks to everyone who came along yesterday to the meeting (27 in all) and especially to Kamran for sharing his recent graft experience, particularly relevant as 2 of the participants are expecting to have grafts fairly soon. It was really good to hear everyone sharing information and helping to ans...

Re: Thoughts on Intacs?

Thanks Adam, very interesting comments and sorry to hear about the torn cornea which must have been an horrific experience. Can you clarify if you are using sclerals on both eyes or just on the one without intacs and is your right eye vision needing any correction at all? Good luck, John
