My optician at the time thought I was out to look cool (as if!) I just wanted to be able to see. Even back then ...

Re: are soft perms good?

Hi Joe, I think that softperm lenses are fabtastic. However, they do have their drawbacks. Before (and since) I was first fitted with SoftPerm lenses I'd tried more or less every lens available to me, from just standard RGPs to RGPs with holes in them, piggy backs, sclerals, different materials, new...

Re: PC Screen Settings

Hi Pat, Hehe, it's actually a quote from Tommy Cooper. Some other of his funnies for your day.. I slept like a log last night - woke up in the fireplace I went to the doctor yesterday - I said to him "Doctor, I've broken my arm in several places" - He said "Well dont go there again!&q...

Re: PC Screen Settings

Hi Paul, I'm an application developer so I spend my whole life sat in front of monitors. I've used all kinds of different types, large, small, hi-res, lo-res etc and honestly the best setup is what works best for you and feels best. I tend to set my monitor to the highest resolution as I find on LCD...

Re: INTERVIEW ....the person that posts next

In an attempt to restore faith in man, I usually plan a romantic holiday in front of the computer. Its so much easier than going to the Travel Agents

OK you are given the option by a genie in the bottle to change your age to any other, but not stay the same age. What age do you pick and why?

Re: My Intacs Experience

Hi alice, Thanks for continuing to share your intacs story with us. I'm finding it really useful. I'm kind in the same boat but on the other side of the river (!) in that I also have good vision in one eye (thanks to a contact lens) but poor vision in the right as i've been without a lens in that ey...

Re: My Intacs Experience

Hmmm, I go in for Intacs next month and (really) want rather than need a Nintendo Wii.

I wonder if I could bribe the other half?
