I've caught glimpses of them Prue, but the camera has never stayed on them long enough for me to get a proper idea of what they are like.

I loved the opening ceremony. I thought to take some of the celebrations outside the stadium was a brilliant idea.

Oh I hear you about keeping opticians in business Andrew. :( They must love us.

Hope it goes okay and Barclaycard's profits don't shoot through the roof. :D

I've seen a lot of changes and improvements at Leicester over the years, but I've nothing to compare it to or know anyone else who goes there to compare notes with.

Andrew, I have to ask, just what is your idea of 'nice' weather? :?

:( Oh dear. That doesn't sound good at all. As I see it, from my own experiences, time is of the essence. It's a total waste of time, money and resources if the time between fitting and 'getting' is so long that they no longer fit. I had really hoped they had got that sorted by now. I'll never forge...

On my first out patient appointment after my second graft the doc got two students to look at my eye without first telling them what I'd had done. Their shocked reaction was decidedly unprofessional but highly amusing to me. One guy who was fitting me with lenses one time gave me a mirror so I...

Hi :D Grafts in '92 and '96. General for both. Lots of pain afterwards but I don't think that's typical. Waking up was no different to any other general anaesthetic I've had - I felt grotty. The eye was patched until the day following the op. Amazing sight as soon as the patch was removed - which as...

How often do you change them or have them looked at? How long does it take between the fitting and actually getting your lenses? My problem always seemed to be that in the time between having them fitted and actually getting my new lenses my eyes had changed shape again so they didn't fit. :( If I r...

I'm glad you're feeling so positive Andrew. :D Our experiences with post op pain are the exact opposite of one another. The penny didn't start to drop with me until we were gearing up for the second graft that the pain I'd had after the first one was unusual. Well, when you have nothing to compare i...

My decision? Extremely unlucky. :( Cursed comes to mind as well. :( Ah the room full of 'interested people'. sigh That gets very old very quickly doesn't it? :( I was very pleased when that stopped happening to me as I saw it as a sign I was drifting back towards being more 'run of the mill' rather ...

Yep, I still have them in one eye. It will be ten years on April 1st since the op.

How do they decide whether to do individual stitches or a continuous one? The same consultant did both ops.
