Re: SynergEyes Ultrahealth
Was just reading about SynergEyes Ultrahealth hybrid lens. Looks like they have just been introduced to the market. Anyone tried them yet and if so how are they working out? Thanks, Russ Hi I have been in Hybrids for just over a year and I find them great. I have tried RPG's and didn't like them. T...

Re: Realistic Time Frame To Wear Lenses Post CXL
Hi, I was told 1 month after CXL, I can start looking at GP Lenses, But as the cornea settles and stabilises over the following months, I will probably need several changes in lenses. However If you mean soft lenses It may be completely different. Hope this helps. Regards Amzy Thanks Amzy, I think ...

Realistic Time Frame To Wear Lenses Post CXL
Sorry if this has been covered before!
Can anyone tell me a realistic time frame post CXL to wear lenses again??
Consultant told me a minimum of 2 weeks before even attempting to put contact lens in but maybe between 2 - 6 weeks would be ok.
Any help would be gratefully recieved!!

Re: Newly diagnosed.
Worth having a look at the link below and appealing the private insurers decision.. I had the same trouble with BUPA refusing to pay but after a long wait and a lot of help (thank you Longhoc) I am close to a resolution to this problem. Fingers crossed!! http://www.keratoconus-group.org.uk/forum/vie...

Re: CXL paid for WPA medical insurance
Hi , I am completely stunned by the response from BUPA .I had a similar refusal lettwer from them stating that they would fund the procedure if it was a clinical terial BUT not otherwise. As I said before, they changed their mind at the final hour and partially funded it once I said I was going to t...

Re: CXL paid for WPA medical insurance
Hi gr1ffiths No problem at all. Their letter is sufficient to indicate a deadlock. As for this whole "clinical trial" nonsense, as Anne and I have just mentioned below, it is a complete red herring. My suggestion is don't even go there. It's a waste of both your and your consultant's time...

Re: CXL paid for WPA medical insurance
Hi... how annoying ! But they've really (in my opinion) shot themselves in the foot with that letter. I cannot believe that the provider has put in writing that they would fund treatment based on a participation in a clinical trial. Nowhere in any PMI policy's T's and C's would it ever say words to...

Re: CXL paid for WPA medical insurance
Well the dreaded letter has arrived.... :( It goes something like this.. "Thank you for your complaint blah blah blah however it is not authorised by NICE and we don't cover this procedure as per exclusion 16 in the membership booklet" but they did say "If Dr Anderson would like to en...
