Re: Asking for a check...
Well I had my appointment today and my eyes are not producing enough tears to make the lenses comfortable so despite earlier attempts to open up the tear ducts I am now going to use a lint with a solution already in it to see if this works. I am also trying kerasoft 3 lenses and having done a quick ...

Re: Still can't get my lenses in.

In the end I said my right eye was okay and I'll let that do the work. By 2004 headaches and vision that was far from good meant I knew I had to go bac...

Asking for a check...
I had my eye mapped - I think that is the best word to describe it more than four years ago. I've had contacts and I have gradually been uping the strength of the left one. My concern is that I'd like to know if the level of distortion is getting worse and by what level. How do I ask for my eye to b...

Getting used to lenses...
Look, I know this is a tiny thing compared to most people on the forum - hydrops, grafts etc but I need a bit of guidance. I was given my contact lenses on tuesday - they are a lens with a soft outside and hard centre. On tuesday I was fine, no probs apart from taking them out - so to my first point...

Work related issues
I went to see the Opthamologists at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and I am getting some contact lenses - soft on the outside and hard on the inside - something to do with new lenses coming out in a year or two's time. Anyway I was wondering whether or not I could ask work (I'm a teacher) for a few extra...

Re: being a teacher - I am teaching in a secodnary school where I have a whiteboard and an Interactive Whiteboard - I love the technolgy however in the past I had to use the black board and yes my eyes were a bit dry. I was getting sorted to wear contacts - he did a test mapping my eye - I stared at...

Hi there, I've looked on this site a few times. I was diagnosed with KC in 1999, after trying to join the RAF - I have it my left eye pretty bad - today they measured it as -6.?? Whatever that means? My right eye has it a little but nothing major. I am looking at contact lenses but the Consultant I ...
