I too used to have the same problem with a lot of mucus between the 2 lenses the problem was solved with changing from 2 week lenses to one day disposable ones

try using the proclear compatable by cooper vision it is a very thin lens and has a high oxygen transmission it has made a great improvement to my wearing time
