Having been wearing lenses for about a month now, i find the best way for me to get them out is to put a drop of systane or blink in, the lenses then come straight out.

Struggled to get them out before i realised that.

I agree about ss but are there no independent opticians nearby who could give you a letter - even if they charge a fee for it, it will be worth it!
