Re: RGP Lenses

One reason why I would like to see shared care for keratoconus is that routine checks could be dealt with by teh HIgh Street leaving complex fittings in the hands of the hospitals. This would cut down waiting times considerably! Lynn, What I don't understand is why major high street opticians don't...

Re: Kerasoft 3 Lenses & NHS

Lisa, Thanks for the recommendation, and apologies for the huge delay. After all this time trying to get Kerasoft lenses my local NHS were having none of it... I only ever got the excuse that when they trialled them, they had a poor success rate in comparison to RGP lenses. However, it seems from my...

RGP Lenses

Guys, As some of you maybe aware I have been having a trial of RGP Lenses as the eye hospital I am with believe these are the best lenses to give me the best vision with less issues than trying something like Kerasoft Lenses which they still wont let me try (cost issues) Anyhow I have been trying th...

Re: Kerasoft 3 lenses

I am still hoping that Kerasoft IC lenses will be an option for me! I have trialled RPG lenses and can only tollerate them for 2hrs max, before my eyes get itches or aggrovated. Thing is with me also is my KC is only worse in 1 eye, the left which I can only see the first 2 lines on the chart (i can...

Re: Kerasoft 3 Lenses & NHS

I know thats my thoughts exactly...

I am waiting to see if there is any NHS hospital near me which actively fits kerasoft lenses.
That way I can ask to be referred - as in my opinion if the hospital i am with wont do it, i should be able to visit another that will

Fingers crossed

Website!

Hey, I just wanted to say a big thank you to the owners of the website, after being diagnosed with KC I have found it a fantastic resource for information on the condition, finding the forums to chat with others with the same condition, and all the help and advice given. One thing I would love to se...

Re: Kerasoft 3 Lenses & NHS

Andrew, I most certainly understand why the name of the hospital was removed, however like most forums on the internet chatters are able to express their satisfaction or disatisfaction about a company (or in this case NHS hospital) and by simply having a clause in the terms and conditions of the web...

Re: Kerasoft 3 Lenses & NHS

Guys, Thanks for your informative posts! Hopefully I will be able to get something sorted - I just cant see why a patient isnt given ALL the options available to them so they can work with their consultant to make a decision which will be best for them, surely that is an important factor in treating...

Kerasoft 3 Lenses & NHS

Hi Guys, I wanted some advice as I think I am just being fobbed off by my local NHS eye department! And to be honest its really starting to infuriate me... I was diagnosed with KC when I was 21 and was told it was worse in my left eye than my right, the difference between the two is so vast I was to...
