Re: thoughts on sclerals

Hi jack,

I wore sclerals for a long time and they enabled me to start living my life. I achieved very good vision too. Good luck and if you need any advice just ask.

Best wishes
Sarah

Re: Buteyko, holding your breath and a corneal transplant

Gareth I'm so sorry I've only just seen this post! Thank you for your help and advice. I didn't commit to the exercises but have started yoga and meditation and haven't used an inhaler for months! Will hopefully continue this way.

Many thanks x

Re: Has anyone ever used Omega Eye By Scope Ophthalmics?

Hi,

Yes i have for about a year now. Started on 4 a day now on 2 and have noticed quite an improvement. I know they are pricey but in terms of quality and how they have helped me i think they are worth it. My eyes are no way near as dry, red and itchy as they were.

Good luck ☺

Buteyko, holding your breath and a corneal transplant

Hi all, I have asthma and have been looking into the Buteyko technique to help with this. The breathing exercises involve holding your breath, so I was just wondering do you think this would harm my eyes in anyway? I know you are not supposed to hold your breath post graft but does this continue thr...

Re: advice re ipad/Samsung tablets

Amazing thanks crippscorner, that looks like a viable option then! I like the detachable keyboard too and spec wise it looks good.

Thanks again for your advice

Re: advice re ipad/Samsung tablets

Thank you so much for your replies! That's great you can invert the colours on the ipad and the extra zoom function, I definitely find it easier with white on a black background when my lens is out. I will check to see if the Samsung tablet does that also. I do love my samsung phone, especially the ...

Hi, I hope everyone is well. I was just wondering if anyone could please help me as I'm looking into buying a tablet to help me with my KC. I am now able to use my Samsung phone up close which is great but obviously my eyes do get tired if I'm using it for any length of time. So I'm looking into bot...

Re: BBC3 Mon 1st and 8th September

He wears a scleral in one eye which makes his eye appear larger and he had a graft in his other eye. I noticed because I wear a scleral in one eye so mine is the same too :)

Good to see KC in the media to raise awareness, George's story was interesting too!
