Re: Hybrid contact lenses

Hi Jennie Its been around 2 weeks now wearing the hybrid lenses. I have not had any issues at all so far. The main benefit for me as I said in my initial post has been the lack of dirt and dust behind the lens. This is the reason why I chose to switch from the standard rgp lenses as i was forever ha...

Hybrid contact lenses

Hi All I have recently switched to hybrid lenses after previously wearing RGP's for 3 years. The main reason for the switch is that i was constantly getting dirt/grit behind the lens forcing me to have to remove the lens ASAP. Usually this resulted in a scratched cornea, which is quite sore. This wa...

Red eyes from RGP lenses

Hi There I wear RGP lenses in both eye (pre and post crosslinking), for around 3 years now. During this period i have always suffered with red eyes, they become redder when I am indoors, usually in the office. This gives me a washed out or hungover appearance when this is not the case. Outdoors my e...

Re: Too late for Cross linking?

Hi Thought i would update on recent news...... I have seen another consultant today and after 2 hours of examinations they strongly recommended me to have both a kera ring implant ans cross linking in my left eye. Re: Too late for Cross linking?

Hi Andrew Thanks for the reply. The doctor didn't tell me it would be dangerous to perform cross linking in my left eye, only that it may have no benefit. So I will have to check with my consultant regarding the thickness of the cornea (i don't know how to read the topography chart). However, the rig...
