Re: Bad eye day and drops to help red eyes
Hi, I use Clinitas Soothe dry eye relief drops, the individual droppers which are gentle and preservative free on my daughter. They really help with her dry eyes as a side effect of her KC. Hope they help you x

Charlotte - 5 yrs since diagnosis
hi Well here we are 5 years since my daughter Charlotte (who has Down's syndrome) was diagnosed with KC. We saw the consultant in Hull at the eye clinic today and Charlotte had a scan (first in quite a while). Her left eye is the same as it has been for quite sometime now; cornea nice and flat after...

Re: Charlottes next appt is coming up
Yes Anne I too have read that a percentage of people with DS develop KC. I certainly wonder if it's the case with some service users (Down's) I regularly come into contact with through Charlottes day centre but as you can imagine it's not my place to ask them or their key workers and no staff have e...

Re: Charlottes next appt is coming up
Thank you Anne, your reply is much appreciated. Charlotte never ever tells us that her vision is naff, I think mainly because the impairment has been so gradual and over several years even prior to diagnosis. She seems to know her limitations albeit while taking her lead from us, her parents. There ...

Charlottes next appt is coming up
hi, I haven't posted for quite a while but I have "popped in" from time to time. Some of you may remember my previous posts about my daughter Charlotte who has Down's syndrome, she is 22 yrs old now and was diagnosed with KC 5 years ago at the age of 17. Charlotte is due to see the consult...

Good news (of sorts!) for Charlotte
Hi all, After a very worrying and stressy 7 months since Charlotte's hydrops I just wanted to give a quick update after her visit to see the specialist last week at Hull Eye Clinic, we are now coming up 7 months post hydrops LE (story on here somewhere) and the latest is that her LE has healed "...

Specs pscript for R eye for Charlotte AND hybrids offered
So Charlotte had her appt with the optom this morning, I feel that it went well and I for one feel a bit happier with how it went. Charlotte was very patient and tried really hard to read the letters on the chart, she was ok for top line but struggled with the next line down. This was with no contac...
