Reading access codes difficult

Does anyone else have problems when signing up for a new email address or registering / buying something online when you have to enter a special code (I presume to prevent abuse), but the code is written in fancy lettering with coloured backgrounds!!! Can be difficult to read. Here's an example I fo...

Pat, I don't think the ones I got were anything special to be honest. I think the difference between me not being able to get glasses a few years ago but can now, is the fact they can 'grind' (i think that's the term) the plastics down a lot more than they once could. So what would have been impossi...

So I guess they are thicker but softer, fair enough trade off I guess. Hopefully I will see for myself later this month whan I ask my new opitician if I qualify to trial a pair. I believe there are many nice parts to Ireland, however having just moved here I can't recommend anything outside Dublin y...

Libby - I had the exact experience you did as well and think that was the subject of my first ever posting here. I was told that my KC was too advanced for specs, and for years I never even questioned it. Until one day I became so frustrated I begged an eye doctor to make me anything, didn't matter ...

I can't put my lenses in first thing. In fact, it is the last thing I do before I go to work. I am lucky enough to be able to get around without them (I also am lucky to have a specs option as well). When i am having a very late night I am always panicing about how tired I am going to be the next mo...

I've successfully worn rgps to the beach, but would never open my eyes under water - I have lost one before in a swimming pool doing that!

Hi Sweet thanks, My appointment is later in January to get this issue sorted out. I have actually resorted to wearing my RGP's without the soft lenses and appear to be coping fairly well (with lots of eye drops though). I expect once I have my appointment with a new KC lens fitter I will hopefully 1...

Gareth, I am sorry it hasn't worked out - yet. Fingers crossed for you. You say the diametre is twice the size, must be something like the size of a soft lens? What about the thickness of the lens? Is it of RGP thickness? And does it get thinner towards the edge? Good luck with wearing them in!
